Howard, the owner of the Susitna River Lodge, sent me some pictures he recently took of Brown Bears. They are so cool I had to add them to this story. I guess I always didn't have perfect luck. I wish I had been there when, as Howard said, they were overrun with bears.

It was unfortunate the bears didn't appear when you were there. Could it be your snoring? It took me several snowmobile trips with you to adjust! It's funny how bears can look so cute, yet formidable at the same time.

You had plenty of good luck with adventures!
Most important was that you had a bear and cub awaiting your arrival back home - and they were just as cute!! Plus this will be something to look forward to on your next trip to Alaska!!
