This morning we were much lighter as we weren't carrying so much - infact, us girls weren't carrying anything!! We were walking to Tyndrum today a mere 12 miles. Again, the scenery was fantastic and varied, lots of forests and hills and then flat barren looking terrain.

We had a couple of really long, steep climbs again, but the views when you got to the top were breathtaking and well worth the pain of getting there. The best view of them all was from the top of a hill looking down at Lake Tula and we had a 360 view. Johnny actually said "this is the best place I have ever been"!!!

As I said earlier, there were lots of other people walking the same route as us, and after awhile we all got to know each other well and it was fun meeting at different places and discussing the walk and also encouraging each other to keep going. One couple who hadn't done anything like this before said they were totally blown away by the commaraderie (don't know if that's correct spelling - but you know what I mean). We also saw several dogs with their owners along the way, which was great, they were loving the freedom of running around. One toy poodle was even carrying his own food in saddle bags. (I don't think biba would be too impressed if we got some for her.)

As we were nearing Tyndrum, we passed through some land that had history of battles having taken place hundreds of years ago and if you stopped and looked around at the hills and surroundings, you could imagine what it might have been like.

When we arrived at our B & B we were all a little nervous wondering if our bags had been delivered correctly, but we needn't have worried, they were there waiting for us.

We had our evening meal in a local grill bar that evening and had an early night in preparation for the 20 miles ahead of us in the morning.
