Nice

Drove from Rome to Naples. Traffic rotten. Got on a hydrofoil to Capri. Rode on a wild bus up to Annacapri and looked at the beautiful sight. Quite a place. Made one shot of the sea. Took a steamer back to Sorrento and staying in the Grand Rivera. Nice hotel. Ate dinner and went to town for a couple of hours..bought an inlaid box and ring.

Leave for Pompeii and Pisa tomorrow.

Weather: good - warm & clear

Left Rome early and arrived in Naples about noon. Traffic is crazy here and always backed up. Finally arrived at port and boarded hydro foil and went to the Isle of Capri. Trip over made me a little sea-sick but water was beautiful. Capri was a beautiful small island approx. 10 sq. miles long. Went to the top of Capri (Anna Capri) and had beautiful shops and scenery. Had lunch there and then left on fast bus back to the bottom of mountain. Came back to Sorrento on a steamer. Our hotel here is best one so far. Right on ocean and view is great. After dinner went down to square and shopped. A movie festival was going on for Canadian Stars. Was fun.

We are now aboard hydrofoil on way to Capri. After Capri we caught steamer to go to Sorrento to spend the night. Capri has busses that scared us almost out of our minds.

We're in Sorrento now. Visited the Isle of Capri today-beautiful. We're staying in a beautiful hotel on the Sea. I'm sitting on the balcony writing now. We're going to Pompeii in the morning & to Nice, France.

Hello-
Went to the Isle of Capri today, which is in the middle of the Mediterranean Ocean. Went by boat. The most beautiful place I have ever seen. Get the map & look it up. Our Hotel here is great-faces ocean. Oh, it is so nice!!!
