Well...after a long dusty dry desert drive, it is a priviledge to be able to stay at this luxury resort, Miramar Al Aqah Beach.

A four hour drive from Abu Dhabi, throught the desert and rocky mountains delivered us to some well earned pampering and relaxing poolside....followed by a 7 hour drive back to Abu Dhabi through Oman.....

A treat to be sure!....

Nestled between the rocky mountains and the Indian Ocean, secluded off the road it embraces the ocean, its low rise buildings sweeping in a crescent design containing an expansive well serviced pool! Stunning actually, pools for all sizes and activities, terraces, pergolas, bars, cafes, poolside massages, restaurants, boutique shopping, watersports, and plenty of space to lounge around and soak it all up.

The resort is of a beautiful Arabic / Moroccan design. Lanterns, columns, water features, pointed arches, walkways all beautifully lit, marble and gold interiors. The night skies showcase this resort to its most sensual, as the display of subtle lighting accentuates all of its majestic features.

I highly reccomend a visit if you are in the neighbourhood!........
