Right here I am again guys- its been a long time since I last posted as there have been some issues with the website- anyway its all sorted now so here we go!! Im not going to bore you guys with a day by day report of everything I have done over the past few weeks so I will just highlight the main activities of a fantastic month! So it all started with a trip to Lone Pine- Australia's biggest Koala Sanctuary, it was great, I got to hold a koala and have my picture taken with him, and also got to feed some kangeroos while seeing some other strange Australian wildlife! I have spent a lot of time exploring Brisbane city and the surrounding area- one place that is beautiful is an area called South Bank, about a 10 minute walk out of the city. It has a lagoon and a man made beach there, with some shops and restaurants, so I checked that out and hopefully am going to go to the beach there sometime at the weekend. I have also been to see some live Aussie sport, the local Brisbane rugby union team is known as the reds and the two games I have seen they have won- Mick says they never see them win twice in a row, so he wants to fly me out for every game next season😊. So the standard is very high and its great to see some Aussie rugby, not that its better than the English!! Me and Mick have also enjoyed a fair few games of golf together and with some of his play mates- its even at the moment with two wins for each of us, so as you can imagine its taken very seriously and competitively- so much so that we bet on the longest drive for a beer! I have taken Monty- the family dog for a couple of walks around the neighbourhood and also up Mount Cooth-A which as the name suggests is a large mount with amazing panaramic views of Brisbane city and suburbs at the top. Experiencing the Australian roads is something I wasn't planning on doing, but Fiona kindly lent me her Mazda a couple of times so I have driven around a bit, but they are crazy drivers over here, so I think I will stick to the UK roads! More recently I spent 4 days near the outback in a small town called Miles- friends of Mick and Fi own a cattle farm so I helped out there. It was a great experience, and I got to really taste the farmers life- highlights would have to be rounding up cattle on a quad bike, and learning how to ride a motorbike. There we some tasks that I helped out with as well, weighing the cattle, clipping their horns and tatooing there ears so they can id each cow, I was also offered the chance to do a pregnancy test which I declined as soon as I found out it involved sticking your whole arm in the cows bottom and fondling her bits!! So that couple of days was great fun, it involved the hard task of sunbathing in breaks but then there was the fact that you got poo on you all the time! After I arrived back from the cattle ranch we were straight off to the sunshine coast where we spent the weekend in a resort 2 minutes walk from the beach at a place called Alex. It was absoloutely awesome, we had so much fun swimming in the pool and catching some waves in the sea, playing football on the beach, eating out, and playing cards till late- the whole time was such good fun and the views were stunning as well. The tan is coming along nicely also and you could almost say I look like a native- anyway this week has been very relaxing as I have been doing some research on trips to Cairns and Fraser Island which include activites like snorkling, tours through teh rainforest and cruises around the islands. I finally bit the bullet and got a hair cut, it was growing wildly out of control so had to do something about it and am now back to my old shorty style. Yesterday evening I played some touch football for Mick's local team- its sort of similar to rugby league but much faster, so that was great fun and today we are playing our 5th game of golf. Anyway your up to date on pretty much everything I think, so if I have missed anything Im sure the folks or Meg and Sar will fill you in!! Sorry its such a long entry, but I guess you needed to be up to date so thanks for reading, for all your thoughts and prayers!! Hope England's weather is getting better and your all well, much love Matt xx

Pregnancy testing
Good to get responding to Blogging again son, can't wait to see the hair or lack of it! Re the pregnancy test approach, maybe you can let them know that we have dip stick tests in the UK, which maybe less problematic, all you would have to do then is stand at the rear of the cow and wait for them to wee, trying to get your dip stick underneath the waterfall so to speak, can visualise you doing it and demonstrating it to the farm folk!! Am e mailing you from my new office 338 Euston Road, on the fourth floor of a high storey building. It feels very different in my COO office and grown up! Things are good at home, even if mum and I are a little weary, we are very much looking forward to a few days away over the Easter weekend with Ales. Colin and Joyce think your bed is ace, and are very comfortable, fitting into no 11 very well. They are searching for somewhere to live big time. Having spent the weekend getting your bedroom ready with Nan nad Grand, I managed to conduct another post Matt Audit, and it is official.....cereal consumption has gone down by 60% since you left, meaning that you managed to comsume nearly two thirds of the the household cereal. Also, I don't find those quirky little trails of cereal from the cupboard to the table, to the fridge and then to the spoon draw!!! That said, I wished they were there as you are very much missed at home, take care son, keep trusting and be assured of our love and prayers for you, Dad. xx

Missing you at Borders!
Hi Matt. Good to read your blogs again after the intermission! Sounds as if you're having lots of fun on your travels. Nell is envious of you holding the Koala (they're probably not as cuddly as they look!). We had coffee at Borders with Naomi this eve and really missed your charming presence (it's not quite the same without you)! Were pleased they had a Daily Mail left for us! Thinking of you and praying for you. Take care. Vince and Nell x
