So just a quick update!! Feeling loads better and the doctors are all happy! So been busy, went to a copper smelter (you just want to say smelter, it's the best word!) and persuaded them to build some beds for this other orphanage we're supporting - was a bit of a strange place and I was the only white girl for 200 miles so got some great looks!! This other orphange is a bit out of town but it's been run by a Canadian girl, Terra, who was essentially doine what I'm doing now but then ended up running the place and now lives here!! She's amazing! The place has nothing, not even a floor and has 60 children with no beds or clean water.

Took Tony one of the orphans to Kampala to see the doc, he needs surgery which is going to be about 1000$US, so got a few days to beg steal and borrow that money. It was a great day - he's 2 or 3 and had never left Jinja so we took him to a shopping mall in Kampala and he had fanta (which here is sooooo luminous!) and ate the hugest portion of fish and chips - he had never eaten food like it (their diet is rice and beans) and I thought his eyes were going to pop out his head or his stomach explode!

So we went to a Salini party on Thurs - was good (free food and drink so not complaining!). Was classic, the Italian's english is suprisingly poor, but one came up to me and Courtney and said that he thought it was so nice to have girls at one of their parties who weren't Ugandan prostitutes! Which was an interesting observation and we didn't really know how to reply. So we partied with the Italians and prostitutes and got covered in champagne and midnight (it was an Italian and Siov's bday's)

Spent last night at Sipi falls (or cipi?!?) which are in the east near Kenya, which was beautiful, staying in a little woodern 'bantu' basically a hut with the best view you can imagine. Treked down to the falls which was great but hard work, the path became tricky, then nearly vertical, then a ladder!!

Going out tonight - it's the Australian's last weekend here and Terra's coming down so should be another night were we are the only white girls dancing like complete dorks compared to the Africans!!

Can't put pics up from Jinja but I'll try once I'm in Kampala poss nxt weekend!
