My shady palm tree
On deserted Yorkey's Knob beach Well, you can say it is a little warmer here than in Tokyo, with a minimum of 24 degrees (at night!) and despite copious application of sun cream and sitting in the shade, I have managed to burn my feet and, for some bizarre reason, the back of my left hand! I am going diving on the Barrier Reef tomorrow and then going up to Cape Tribulation (another World Heritage site, rainforest and stuff like that) on Sunday and Monday.

Yep, you guessed why I just had to visit this place... with the fish as the dolphins looked like they were laughing, but then I suppose they always look like they are smiling. A rather good moment.
One of the main differences, although not the only one, between here and Japan is the traffic light crossing system: you get a very clinical "duh-duh-duh" noise in Oz, but you get a much more melodic musical tune "tinkly-tinkly-tinkly" in Tokyo. Thought you would like to know.

p.s. Kes, perhaps I should have recorded a little California Dreaming for them to use on the crossings?!
