I have to admit that I've been slacking quite a bit on the blog. I've been fairly busy, and it's been fairly uneventful here. The craziness of the summer is long gone, and we've now resigned to the fact that this is more like real life now, with long hours at work, and we get tired often.

It's actually been raining quite a bit lately. It's a huge change from the 3 month drought we had this summer. One night the water was so high that it was flowing into the bus when the driver would open the doors. Walking in shin deep water is not exactly my idea of fun. I've also noticed what a wuss I've become. It's been about 68-63 degrees during the day, and about 42-45 at night...I feel like I'm freezing at times. I guess when the weather drastically changes from the 100 degree heat, this would feel cold. What am I going to do back in Philly in the middle of winter? I may actually freeze.

Last week/weekend my brother and Danny came to visit. We all had a good time. It almost seemed that Davide was more excited to see my brother than I was. Anthony quickly replaced me and became his new best friend. I think it was an enjoyable visit for everyone. Last Sunday we went to a free concert in Piazza del Popolo...the headlining act was ANDREA BOCELLI! How cool is that? Last month it was The Cure and John Legend, and this month it was Andrea Bocelli. I've seen him live once before, but this concert was just really amazing. I think he sounded better performing outdoors, with no bad architecture to make the acoustics sound bad. Plus, I didn't spend $75 for a ticket to see this performance, so it made it even better.

Next weekend we're going to have our international Thanksgiving dinner with people from all over the world. Good food, good friends and good fun. I'm looking forward to it. Making a fresh turkey (not a previously frozen one) from Davide's "favorite butcher" should be pretty interesting as well. I hope this fresh turkey comes de-feathered and gutted. Honestly, in this country, I really need to wonder about it. I'll let you know how that goes.

I'll add some pictures here from the concert last weekend. Talk to you soon.

Andrea Bocelli
Carla Thanks for the video. Next time yell down to the stage and tell the back up singers to shut up so we can hear more of Bocelli. Say hi to Jenny for me.
