Dear all,
Today was our last day in Singapore and so we decided to do all of the things that tourists are supposed to do when here! We started by having afternoon tea at the Pan Pacific hotel. It was very nice...a lovely hotel, if only we could afford to stay there!
Next we went to Raffles Hotel which is one of the oldest hotels in Singapore. We went to the famous Long Bar where it is traditional to eat monkey nuts and throw the shells onto the floor. We both had a Singapore Sling which is made with gin, Brandy, Cointreau, Benedictine, Pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine and bitters!! I have no idea what some of those things are but the drink was very nice! However it didnt seem so nice when we got the bill and realised that they were eleven pounds each!!!
After that we wandered around the marina and saw the Singapore flyer..just like the London eye. Then we headed back to Little India for some traditional food stall dinner. I had noodle wanton soup and Dan had sweet and sour. We both managed to resist having the pig organ soup...which looked really horrible!
So thats Singapore truely done now. Tomorrow we fly at four so will be in Bali by the evening. I am looking forward to being back in Indonesia.
Love to you all,
Wendy

singapore hotel
Hey that's a very interesting viewpoint of Singapore. Which hotel did you stay at when you were there. Maybe we should meetup sometime when we're both together in singapore. Alternatively you can visit Yellow Pages Singapore to check up on the latest happenings in Singapore. Small country but I simply love it.
