I had breakfast with Mike this morning (after a hot shower!). Then all of us headed to church… for the last time for a while, unfortunately. Service was great and Jessica even kind of enjoyed it, or at least is taking a lot of time to process the whole thing. Then we headed to the theater.

For some reason, I thought I was going to have more time to get work done, but the kids showed up straight away and we got a little pressed for time. Because Wenatchee didn’t have a full rig, I ended up having to reprogram every cue to some extent, often in blind, to get them fixed for here. Hopefully this isn’t a regular occurrence. Uncle Paul came and hung out with us for a while. I was working and running around and an hour before the show they started letting people in! Oh my! After a quick scramble, we got them to stop doing that, though there were a few people who stayed in the auditorium while we finished fixing and adjusting. Oh well.

The show went ok; I’d give it a B minus, at least on my end. Sarah and I have quite a bit of work to do concerning cueing and things- good thing we have a long drive tomorrow! The kids were doing pretty well, excited and everything, but they’re still not 100% comfortable.

It was great to see everyone that came! Lots of friends and family of mine were there. Thanks! Kelli even brought us chipote, a Ugandan fry bread, which was amazing and the kids and staff were all over it! After load out, we all went out to dinner, and Uncle Paul joined us. We had a great time- mostly watching America’s Funniest Home Vidoes on mute and adding commentary- Jenn is quite good at it, or we’d try to guess what would happen in the video. Fun stuff.

Unfortunately this is the last night I’ll be in town. Tomorrow we head to Montana. It will be good being gone for real- the weird fake leave was a bit rough on me, but now we’ll be moving for real. Finally. I’ve been waiting for this for months and months it seems. David (director) left us today, Jessica leaves tomorrow, and we leave Mike here to fly out on Tuesday.

I’m quite tired from today. Lots of emotions on lots of levels. Thanks to all of you who came to the show. Tomorrow, we drive!

Amazing Show!
The show was so amazing! To watch the kids work so hard and share so much with us in the audience was very emotional. I became so attached to the children as they sang and danced and shared their lives with us. Jeremy loved the drummers and sat on the edge of his seat to see it all. We loved meeting some of the kids after the show---it is hard to imagine that they are around Jeremy's age and so far from home and making such a difference.

Mom again
I ran out of room but also wanted to say that I am so proud and impressed with your work on the show! No wonder you wake up each day happy to go to work.... I would think that even with being tired or having tech troubles you see those sweet faces and your day brightens. Love you, Mom PS I tried not to look at the excellent lighting as separate from the show because you told me I'm not supposed to---but I did.
