Day 11: Train
More interiors in the Moscow Metro In what has been our longest inner city train ride so far, we took a trip today out to the famous Gorky Park. Not quite sure what we were expecting, but what we got was a colossal entry into a mostly deserted amusement park. Complete with that spaceship we saw on the boat. We are not quite sure if it actually gets busy.
Across the road, we entered the Sculpture Park, formerly called 'The Park of Fallen Idols', which was much more romantic. A semi-overgrown park full of Soviet Era statues; bronzed propaganda soldiers and a bunch of Lenin and Stalin busts.
Heading home through the 'swanky' Petrovsky District, where, according to the Lonely Planet, all of the rich Moscovites hang out. Nice - but no Rodeo Drive.
Reconnaissance mission to the Yaroslavsky Station, where we would be catching our Siberian-bound train from that night. Made it there several hours later with out a hitch, though it is one of the craziest train stations I've had the joy of camping out in. Emerging from the metro you are assaulted by a mass of market stalls with their RSL lights, Indian guys selling mobile phones and Babushka ladies hawking
Day 11: Breakfast
Picture of our Gamma Delta Hotel luggage trolleys. Also some very fine specimens of alcoholics.
Our supplies for the next 80+ hours are: 2 X large bottles of Vodka, a jar of Moccona instant coffee and some Pringle like chips called 'Krakas'.

Gorky park?
If you were in park with spaceship - then i bet it wasn't Gorky Park at all, but it was VVC (VDNKh) - not an amusement park but All-Russian Exhibition Center.
