Last day today. Didn't do anything too interesting because we had already crammed everything we wanted to do into other days. Went to harbour again for breakfast and chilled out. I even did a bit of sketching of view...just call me Tony Hart. Went to look in National Art Museum then; was quite interesting, but we aren't really museumy people anyway, just wanted to fill time. We were going to do Space Museum aswell, but after the Art Gallery, we were all museumed out (I wonder how many words I can make with the word museum in them!) So decided against that. Caught bus to Kowllon Walled park instead.

Park is further in city, about 30-40mins out from us. Nice though and a lot of history to it. Had a good fountain and very chinese style walkways and viewing platforms. Listened to music on bus back; didn't realise how much had missed music! Really hard not to sing along; had to chew chewing gum to prevent this!

When got back, we arrived to a ceremony for National Korean Day - is a big deal. Showed a vid on big screen to explain it, think it is something about trading a long time ago (ha...thats as specific as it gets) and then links being formed so that eventually lots of Korean people moved to Hong Kong and now they have alot of Korean residents. Think thats it. Anyway, quite a good show and me and Deb sat with press to take photos. Cool drummers; reminded me of what Kate does at our school. Also had men in long dragon outfits dancing to drumming, that was really cool. They came into crowd to greet people and nearly ate me! If it hadn't been for all the hot chocolates and cheecakes, I think I would have been a gonner!

Also had a choir...who sang "You riase me up" - Westlife song (yes I know they didn't sing it first...I just don't know who did). Then they had a magician and it is making me laugh to even write this on! Really old man.. like really old...lot older than Paul Daniels and no Debbie Mgee in sight! I don't know what he did, but definately wasn't magic. Really just moved things about from 1 sleeve to another...didn't even have a bunny or a bird! Had to clap him though, just because he was so cute!

Came back after that, had T ...at a spaghetti house. Know it's bad, but if you saw what was hanging in the restaurant windows and written on the menu's here, u'd know why we went spaghetti! Had a lasagne for lunch other day...and it definately wasn't beef! Lesson: Always read menu carefully! If it doesn't say what meat it is...assume wosrt..literally worst you can think of!

That was our last day in Hong Kong.

Taken by a very nice, but slightly suspicious chinese man. Had to be ready to run in case he did a runner with camera..both ready in optimum sprint position.

Contemplated asking him if I could be his Debbie Magee... but he really didn't need a sidekick!

Forgot about these guys. Made for very embarassing watching...couldn't even watch parts of it because I was too embarrassed. Just danced to a pop song that was on in background. Really hope they were a band...but they looked just like we did when we used to dance on stage at middle school...:(

Lucky me?
Hi... Was actually surfing to look for some practical backpackers tips to Hong Kong. Then came along you blog in searches. Don't know how I was tempted to click on the link. Read through the first entry (not from the England part but your 2nd last entry for HK). couldn't find anything useful (at least to me) but you are quite funny. Chuckled a bit and decided to read from the start. Noticed no further entry after 7 Oct. You are either still traveling or swimming somwhere without the net?? So, will come back in few days time. Never manage to find what I originally started with but found this funny bit of "stuff" to read. Lucky me? Who knows...BTW, keep it up.
