Just some random photos from Alicante and when we went to the F1 Grand Prix in Valencia!

Also some random information... Did you know that Chupa Chups are Spanish?

Chupa Chups is a Spanish lollipop company founded by Barcelona native employer Enric Bernat in 1958. The name comes from the Spanish verb chupar, meaning "to suck"!. Chupa Chups were also originally called just Chups and the plastic stick use to be wooden!

I also just found out that when Katie told me her favourite wine was the Alicante Bouchet, I felt stupid because I didn't know about it thinking it was from Alicante, Spain (the city in which we live for those who don't know) but then looked it up and discovered it is from the Barossa! Why is it called 'Alicante' when there are no grapes around here!??

Next blog will be of our new apartment and area!!!

We live close to Alicante airport so sometimes watch the planes...a popular pastime; the Spaniards even bring chairs haha

The office opens at 9am but they only give out around 70 numbers a day! You can even pay people to wait for you this early! I am not looking forward to lining up for my ID number but it is the only way! Grrr

We use to watch these birds fly back home to the sea everyday at the same time after their long day at the rubbish dump eating (or so we are told!)

Chupa chups
Uncle Rino used to work for Chupa Chups in Aus and had to go to Spain regularly or they would come to Aus. Was great while he had that job. So handy to go home via Europe.
