Today we slept in late and boarded our ferry for Mykonos around 10:30. When we arrived we met a nice lady who offered us a room (and really nice as well, a ride - as we arrived in the New Port which is far away from the center of Mykonos Town). The room is a great price for the location - a 5 to 10 minute walk from the center of Mykonos town, located by the famous windmills with a sea view and a balcony - all for only 50 Euros a night. We were happy to move in to it for the next 3 nights.

Mykonos is a great island. It has everything an island hopper could wish for: Beautiful beaches, insane Nightlife and frozen in time Archeological wonders on nearby Delos.

We wandered around and got dinner at a little family run greek taverna - a gyros plate, some hot vine leaves and a spinach pie. The family was so nice, after we paid they brought us a cake desert that was on them! Overall we have experienced such kindness here on the islands. Some waitress on Syros told Robyn how pretty she was! There's no pressure to buy things or eat dinner at a certain place. Who knows, I might even consider taking a cab on the greek islands. Well, not if I don't have to.

Robyn found a beautiful ring that she bought and they are sizing it for free for her by tomorrow night. Then we headed over to Skandinavia Bar around 1:30AM. Things don't get started here until really really late. It's crazy. When most places are closing up in NY and LA, Mykonos is just getting going! Things don't really start happening at clubs here until 3 or 4 AM! And some clubs are open until 11AM! The Prague club was open until 7AM and we thought that was crazy!

Well it was a bit late for Robyn and I on our first night here. We were slightly suprised by the age of the dancers at the clubs around Mykonos town. They were mostly in their 30's and 40's. Maybe we just don't know where to go. On top of that, Skandinavia Bar turned into a gay club a little after 2:30. We stayed out until about 3 walking around the Little Venice area.
