This is a picture of our old shack we were staying at. It was nice but had tons of red ants everywhere!
Hey guys Kim and I are now both on the island of Ko Pha Ngan. Per usual the day we travel it was raining and we had to get a ferry across to the island and the seas were quite choppy which didn’t help much with the slight hangovers we had. The island is amazing and not all the roads are paved, there are lots of mud tracks and its more hilly than Wales! It’s far different than the island we were last staying on. There are elephants that roam free in the forests and lots of waterfalls. The place overall is far more remote and has less tourism. Its what we expected Thailand to be like.

We are staying at a place called Hadaat Resort which is amazing and far nicer than our last hut. It is set just in a small bay in a place called ‘Salad’ and the beach is really nice and the staff is very friendly. We have already met new people as well as some of the guys from the previous island who came over to the new place as well.

There is not a lot to do in the area where we
Chilling.....Chilling.....Chilling.....

Me doing what I do best. The new place we are staying at is far better than the last. They even have english style Deckchairs!
are staying though there are a few bars and it’s really chilled out, there isn’t a cash machine for miles. We have been going to a Reggae bar most nights. And playing cards and just relaxing near the beach. Last night we had a BBQ and had fresh fish cooked for us, red & white snapper it was excellent and cost next to nothing.

That’s about it really the last few days have been pretty chilled, Kim has managed to put her mosquito net up and managed to go a few nights without getting bitten. I have been reading a book sold to me by a hippie which is quite good and been sitting on my deckchair, hard life…….. hope everyone in England is well!

Looks lovely
Well Trev! What can Dan and I say? It looks lovely at your latest stop! It must be nice just relaxing and taking in the lovely Thai atmosphere. Glad too see that you and Kim are looking well. Weather has been cold here! Dan has got an operation on Tuesday so am having the day off to go with him. He shouldn't have to stay in over night as it is in the day surgery bit, but still worrying for him. I think that the thing that is most annoying for him is that he will not be able to play much football after for a couple of weeks (you just know that will kill him)! They got through in the next round of the FA Vase Cup.....if they keep winning and get to the final they will be able to play at a huge premiership ground. Not much else has been going on here to be honest, so will leave you to carry on reading your book! See ya. Jem
