After yesterdays' marathon hiking day we decided to take it easy today. The girls slept till 10:00 am, and enjoyed a morning of just hanging out. We did go whitewater rafting on the Garder River for an 8 mile ride. It was alot of fun, it was rated at a class 2-3 rapids, just right for their first time. They think they want to goto the Upper Gulley next year, we shall see.

We forgot to add to our blog from yesterday the big storm that came into Gardner. It was very cool to watch the storm come over the mountains and pretty much right towards us. The big surprise was the dime size hail (see pic) bouncing of the camper and Emma's head (Rachel was a bit smarter and stayed in the camper).

We also stopped yesterday to see a petrifed tree. The girls thought it was pretty dumb to see the rock tree, but oh well.

Saturday we pack up and head south. We are planning to see Old Faithful, Old Faithful Inn, and Yellowstone Lake on our way out of the park towards the Grand Tetons.

Enjoying the trip..... again
Hey you four wanderers..... we do not know who is enjoying the trip more! We certainly are re-living each step of the way as you are doing a wonderful job keeping us posted. Even the dumb rock tree was visited by us, and I don't know why either.

Yellowstone
It sounds like each and every one of you is having a GREAT time. Love reading about the trip from the girl's perspective. When you get back Amy you'll have to show us the 'mountain crab walk' since Shawn didn't get a photo of it. Keep safe and we'll see you soon!
