Oh Hoi An, how I love thee!

It's a charming and lovely town, showing off what Vietnam looked like in the days gone by. It's easy to spend an afternoon strolling along the river, or roaming through the quaint shops that line every street.

But the best thing about Hoi An is the tailored-made clothes!

Everywhere you turn is a tailor ready to cheaply custom make whatever you desire. Brad and I went absolutely crazy, and our tally is as follows:

Brad: 8 pairs of pants, 12 dress shirts, 2 coats, and 2 pairs of shoes.
Jessica: 3 coats, 2 pairs of pants, 2 dresses, 2 skirts, 4 shirts, and 1 pair of shoes.

It's fantastic. I'm already planning on what to have made on the next trip. We did, however, have to purchase a couple of extra bags to hold all our new clothes. I think next time we'll make sure our backpacks are half empty when we arrive.

In other exiting news, we've booked a ticket to India! Our original plan was to make our way into China and fly home from Hong Kong. Turns out it's near impossible to get a visa to China right now due to the Olympics. We were quite disappointed to miss China and end our trip so much earlier than expected. Just for fun, we looked into airfare to India instead of flying straight home to Seattle. We discovered it's not that much more expensive to make a little detour to India. So that's the new plan! We'll spend three weeks in India (and Nepal if possible). On our flight home from New Dehli to Seattle, we have a 12 hour layover in London; I can't wait to see the city even if only for a day! This new itinerary puts us back in Seattle on Aug. 26th.
