Ronald Mc Thai
Yes they are everywhere. Ronald is performing his traditionalThai greeting in this picture, and yes we did have a meal there, What a sin! Hello sadly we are here in an internet cafe to get out of the rain. Since the last posted we have traveled south on the Thai Rail which isnt all that great, traveling to the island of Ko Samui which usualy has great sunny beaches and little rain this time of year. This year though there has been unexpected storms so we are trying to sit them out in out bungalow on the beach. Our plan is to go to a full moon party on Dec 16th on the near by island of Ko Pha Ngan which is famous for is beach parties. Hopefully the weather will have improved by then! We are also hoping to go and see some waterfalls on the centre of the island and maybe even go elephant riding!
Before leaving Bangkok we also managed to visit some more places. Everyone said we should visit Bangkoks weekend market so we took the sky train and went to see what it was like. It was crazy! You could buy anything there. from clothes and food, to rare and very strange looking animals. We spent most of the time trying to find a way out, it seemed that
For Kims lads
John/Keith dont you think this would be a good business opportunity?? every time you thought you knew where you were you appeared far from your expected location. The heat was amazing so we didnt stay to long, it was well worth the visit just to experiance it though.
The day after we visited China town with a friend we had made, infact we have met quite a few people on our travels. China town was crazy we could hardly move for all the small chinese people an very narrow market streets! We also tried some of the local market food off the stalls which in most cases was very nice.....but not all as Kim found out!
Anyway back to our trip south It took 12 hours on the train from Bangkok to reach the station near a place called Surat Thani, it was very hot and the trains made lots of noise. The toilets were very funny, basicaly a seat with a hole that released everything onto the railway track! Once we arrived we then took a boat and ferry to the port, which is when we noticed the looming dark clouds......
So since we arrived on the morning of the 5th (yesterday) we have had more
China Town
