Lake Garda - View from the hotel
The one redeeming side to the hotel The hotel saved itself, just, when we drew back our blinds to look at our view, right on the lake, uninterrupted view.
We ate breakfast in the hotel reluctantly, and then Karl jogged to the chemist, as Jay sat being cuddled saying “Daddy must go to the doctor, why is he taking so long”. Well for Jay’s sake we won’t tell you what the cure was, but it worked within seconds much to every ones relief. Asha trying to help through all of this sat on the toilet and said “look Jay, I am doing a poo, and I’m not complaining”. - Not sure that helped at all. However since this experience Jay has been very keen to eat his vegetables, tomatoes and fruit salad, he is actively searching them out, and when we can’t find him some, he says with a rather sad face ”But if I don’t eat my tomatoes I’ll have a poorly bottom” or “Please can I have some more fruit to stop my poo from hurting”. Even Asha is slowly listening to him and starting to eat her tomatos.
Once the ordeal was over we headed for the Lake, hired a Pedalo, and Karl
pedalled like mad for half an hour with the remaining three telling him which seagull to chase! Then a little pebble throwing into the water, a swim from Daddy and Asha before we headed off for the last leg before Umbria.
All in all, not sure Lake Garda Desenzano, was our sort of place, it seemed crowded, overpriced and not terribly friendly, maybe we were just unlucky.

Well done Jay!
Being sick on hols ain't much fun -- glad he's doing better. I seem to remember two days in Inverness hospital when the chemist didn't work -- Becca was 5-ish. Her memory of it... Chris and Dad walking a safe distance behind sharing in slightly too loud a (deliebrate) stage whisper "Careful in case she blows..." :>) Brilliant blog -- really enjoying following your travels!
