Margarita at Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville .... thanks to Wayne & Michel for suggesting this one! xox

And so..... it begins.

On the way to start a fresh chapter in our lives in the UK we head first to America to explore, try and be entertained.

After over 28 hours of flying and 3 different planes we arrive first in Sin City - Las Vegas. Ummmm..... where do I start?

It's totally insane here!! The hotel we stay in ( Mandalay Bay) is completely gold on the outside with a wave pool, 2 lagoon pools, a lazy river and an adults only ( read "topless"!) pool.
We basically dump our belongings in the hotel room and hit the strip straight away.

The first thing I notice is that the girls here seem to favour dressing in outfits of the gold sparkle, cheap fabric, split down to the belly button and up to the crotch style. And, lets be honest, not a lot of them can pull it off!! This is definately a place where you can spend a whole night just watching people walk by you!

The next few days go by in a blur of eat breakfast, swim, shop, start drinking, have dinner, keep drinking (and drinking and drinking!!).

How bout this ... we meet these professional poker players from Canada (one of the number 4 in world) .... Steve would have loved this i know. Didn't play a game with them as i value my $$ in my wallet.

On 4th of July - after much searching around on various websites by Brendan - we decide to head to a pool party being held at The Hard Rock Hotel. It totally went off and we met some awesome people from all over including a Canadian couple who we met up with the next night.

a GREAT night, very Australian style party for July 4th party, similar to floating rivers drinking beer!

Drinks with them turned into dinner (A local Mexican Tapas bar... and some Australian Red Wine!), which turned into more drinks and before any of us realised it the time had clicked over to 1:30 am and we had a flight to New Orleans at 6:00 am ( which meant getting to the airport at 5am and therefore hauling my tired ass out of bed at 4am!).

I had such a crazy time partying here that I kind of forgot to see the Grand Canyon (cos it's so easy to miss!) which obviously means that we'll have to come back here again soon.... Yah. Next stop New Orleans for some southern hospitality xoxo
