So here I am, jetting off to yet another sunny country. Don't you just hate me? It's a hard life being a language student, but someone's got to do it!

I'm staying with a family in the south of Italy. In return for free accomodation and meals I help them around the house and garden for 5 hours a day. Not bad eh? The family are lovely, really friendly and great sense of humour. The food is divine, well it's Italy, what do you expect? The house is amazing, the kind of home people dream of moving abroad to. It's massive and has an outdoor swimming pool and trampoline. The weather is fantastic, in the 30s. I've only been here two days and already my body's back to Paraguayan hot and cold levels, as it was 26 degrees C the other night and I had goosebumps! The area is picturesque, it's so totally what you imagine Italy to be like. It's all mountains and forrests. The town is gorgeous, it's small and historic, everyone knows eveyone, heck everyone's related to everyone! There are old Italian men sat outside bars drinking coffee or wine depending on the time of day. It's just so... Italian.

I'm still having trouble speaking much Italian, it's all just Spanish that comes to my mind. But I'm listening lots and that's really helping, so I'll just keep forcing myself to talk and listen and hope for the best.
