Right so this is my first entry and there is nothing exciting to say. Busy packing up and very excited to be using my backpack again, which in my gap year I became very close to. Leaving for Mexico on Wednesday with Nicola. We will be staying in Mexico City for a couple of days before we get a flight to Merida, near Cancun. We will be in Merida for two weeks on an intensive Spanish course, so hopefully will know a little of the local lingo to help us get around.
There are quite alot of sights around Merida, which we plan to visit on our evenings/days off. I am particularly excited about hitting a white sand beach with a sea! The pebbiliy one at Brighton jsut doesn't cut it. I am still a real sun bunny and am most of excited abotu beign hot for a whole 2.5 months! I blame the love of heat on being African - Ricki you will relate to this!
After being Merida for two weeks I have about 2 weeks before Elizabeth joins me - another medic from BSMS - and we are planning to go travelling around Belize and Guatamala.
Well off to finish packing!

Really look forward to reading more about your trip and, of course, seeing the photos when you get back. You are really seeing the world - east and west. Have a good time especially after the last few very hectic months you had. God Bless. Love Mom
