We are in Madrid, arrived this morning. We were too excited to sleep much on the flight and we´ve walked around a lot today. This flights were fine - one small bit of excitement in Atlanta. I had to run up the down escalator because I left my jacket in the ladies room. You know how stressed I get on escalators, but I did it and retrieved my jacket.
Madrid is beautiful, lovely trees and flowers - interesting sidewalks and people. We saw a few beautiful babies, but not many. The cafe con latte is fabulous! We have a photo, but don´t have the wire with us in this cafe. We walked to the Prado and T took a photo of the Goya statue. I just mentioned that it would be nice if we could get a photo together and Tom from Milwaukee appeared and took the photo. We had an interesting visit with him. He is on tour with a group from ACIS - international studies - has been traveling with them for years. We´re now on our way to Plaza Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor (home of inquisition executions) - and then some food.

Your first blog post from the road is a success! You make it look easy. I hope you'll be able to include some photos, too. And details about the food you're eating in Spain. Elliot is also enjoying seeing your blog and he wanted to know how far it is from Spain to Italy! Love you guys!
