Pre-Departure Orientation

hello everyone!
heres my first entry! im still in the states, but i went to YFU Pre-Departure Orientation to prepare for my time abroad this last weekend. it was SO much fun! We went around to seminars on different things like "realistic expectations", "meet the critic" and "family living" and that sort of thing, and then later on we played games and had time to hang out and just have fun. I met a lot of really cool people headed off on exchanges also and hopefully will be able to stay in touch with them especially while i'm abroad.

Camp Mariah
here's a shot of the camp we were at for the PDO... it was gorgeous!

Inside a Cabin
they were really nice cabins... beds were a little hard though :P but we were just in them for one night

PDO...
I think this one was right after we played a game (it was a kinda cool one that got you thinking about cultural differences and perception), and we were discussing it... you can see me sitting in the back.

Dancing
There was a really great dancing competition with salsa music! very very entertaining to watch...

Charades
playing charades... after a very intense game of Chubby Bunny in which the girl who won fit 17 full sized marshmellows in her mouth!
