Mirko!
This is our favorite guy, Mirko. Only one more day to go in the TEFL course and then I'll be a certified English teacher. I think my grammar exam went really well this morning. I have to admit, I think of Grammar a lot differently now than I ever did before and I'm much more conscious of my sentence structure. Learning grammar at the age of 27 is much different than learning at the age of 7, and I was shocked at how little I actually knew regarding the rules and parts of speech. Don't worry though, now I can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about the present perfect continuous tense.
Yesterday we took some pictures with Mirko! I'm adding them here on this blog. After the picture session, he wrote our names in chocolate in our cappuccino. Wait til you see it! I also have a picture of Alvero to post. We went back there to his cafe again on Sunday night. Once again he tried to get us drunk by bringing out a bunch of liquor for us. We just love him. Such a cute old man. He doesn't understand one word of English. Him and Lauren need to communicate by
The girls and Mirko
Lauren, Heather (aka Heater), Mirko, Jenny and me sign language, haha.
We're still trying to plan our "graduation" party for tomorrow night. And we also need to hang out and celebrate Genny's birthday since we were all too busy studying last weekend to do anything then. I think we're going to Ostia on Friday to the beach. It's supposed to be a really nice day, and it's a holiday here, so everything in the city will be closed anyway. I can't wait!
I can't believe how fast four weeks have gone by. It's really weird actually. I'm still loving it here. Everyday is a new experience with new things to see, new food to try, new people to meet, and new smells everywhere. I don't want it to ever end.
