Machu Picchu
Sacred tree on the top of Machu Picchu
Swiete drzewo na szczycie Machu Picchu We said good by to Amazon Jungle and arrived to Cuzco.
Each year Cuzco city attract hundrets of thousantstourists.
Cuzco is on altitude 3326m above see level which means everyone who arrives there from the lower altitude are out of breath. The altitude sickness side effects can be very unpleasant: strong headaches, dizzines, bleading nose even vomiting.
Cuzco was once the foremost city of the Inca empire before being conquered by Spanish Conquistadors.
There are many examples that Spaniards destroyed Incas temples to build catholic churches on the ruins.
Incas engineers were extremly intelligent and many constructions survived earthquakes.
We went to the Sacred Valley surrounded by extraordinary Andes Mountains.
Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero are the main points to visit the Sacred Valley.
We were drawn to the Pisac market by colorfull stalls packed with crafts of every description.
Our trip wouldn t be complet without visiting the Inca city - Machu Picchu.
The spectacular and awe - inspiringlocation is the best known archeological site in the Southern America.
A lot of tourists choose to climb Machu Picchu on foot taking 4 days walk called Inca Trial.
We have done it by train from Cuzco to Aquas Caliente.. From there
we took a bus to the site.
We had an amazing guide who explained all theories about civilisation which used to live there.
It is commonly believed that Incas god was the Sun but we were explained that they worshiped Pachamama- Mother Earth with all her elements like a fire, water, air, lightening, rainbow, soil, animals etc.
None of the pictures I have seen before and took by myself describe the magnificent views of surrounding mountains and city by itself.
Sitting on the one of the highest terraces I closed my eyes and every time I oppened it I was amazed by view in front of me and felt so priviliged by having a chance to see one of the most beautiful wonders of the world.
Po polsku opisy dolacze za pare dni...
Powiedzialysmy dowidzenia dzunglo i przybylysmy do Cuzco.
Kazdego roku cuzco przyjmuje tysiace turystow. Choroba wysokosciowa moze miec przykre skutki uboczne: silne bole glowy, zawroty glowy, krwawienie z nosa, nawet wymioty.
Cuzco, zanim zostalo zniszczone przez Hiszpanskich Konkwistadorow, bylo kiedys ulubionym miastem Inkow.
Niesamowicie inteligentni
Machu Picchu
Finally I got there...by train .-))
Mozna bylo tam znalesc tysiace kolorowych stoisk z rzeczami, ktore nawet ciezko opisac.
My wybralysmy 4 godzinna podroz pociagiem do Aquas Caliente i stad polgodzinna wspinaczka autobusem na miejsce.
