Steak on the Buffit!

Kyle and I got up way-too-early and headed west. I finished my book and started the new on. (I swear, I haven’t read this much in my life!) By the time we had been on the road 4 hours, we were hungry, but in a new time zone, where it was 9:30. Nothing was open. Bummer! We ended up meeting everyone for lunch. Conversation was good; weather was crap! It poured down rain! Then, my door started leaking. So I scooted towards the middle. Then Kyle’s door started leaking more. But he couldn’t scoot; we just did our best to keep him dry. Out of Indiana, through Illinois, and into Missouri. Some iPod trouble as well. Then, the top of the windshield started leaking onto the dash. But it was way too wet to only be coming from there. Turns out it was coming up from the bottom of the window! We frantically grabbed everything off the dash (then turned on the vents to watch the water jump!) Quite the day.

Hotel. Nice one. I have my own room for the first time since January 22. Woohoo! Sarah and I went across the street to the gym and worked out for a bit. It felt good. Dinner with the Choir at GC! The signs all say “Steak on the Buffet” which we’ve been saying all day with an Australian accent and pronouncing it like an American word “bufffit.” Ha! Ok, maybe just funny on tour. We also noticed that it might be a bad sign we can all tell the different voices of the GPS, with the names and nationalities. Oh my!

We have a show tomorrow. But it’s a fake show; “limited tech.” No lighting. Maybe some video. Minor sound. I’ll be the A2 for the day. At least it’s a show.
