Osaka

Left Nagoya on October 3rd and made our way to Osaka for training. The group was large (26 or so) so it was split in two and half of us went to Osaka and the other half remained in Nagoya. Osaka is a beautiful and very large city. It's known for it's night life and entertainment. Went sight seeing here as well and got to know the other teachers more intimately, as we spent everyday together for 2 weeks for about 16 hours a day, working and socializing of course. Had sushi in Japan for the first time. Cheated a little, cause nothing I ate was raw (baby steps), I will get to the raw stuff eventually. Actually went out for karaoke in Osaka, which was so much fun. Definitely gotta do it again (it's very popular here). Went into Kyoto on October 16th and it was beautiful. This city is known for it's history and it's where the majority of the geisha population is. Never got to see a geisha but plan on visiting Kyoto again when my mom visits Japan. The best part was the monkey park I went to in Kyoto. There are 150 Japanese monkyes just chilling and haning out. I even had one sit beside me on the bench, but by the time we got the camera out, he left. There's an area in this park where you go into a wooden feeding hut and feed the monkeys bananas and peanuts through wire fencing. I fed them 5 bags of bananas. Well it was actually 2, cause 3 different monkeys stole a bag each from me, cause I turned my head and it was within their reach. Crazy monkeys, but they are sooooo cute. I could have spent the whole day there. Made some wondeful and close friends and we continue to remain in touch. Enjoy more pics.
