Happy Halloween!
After a problem filled trip here, we finally made it to bangkok. Between having to get a last minute passport, getting lost somewhere in long island, and having my ipod crap out on me, its been less than perfect. That being said, we have had a fantastic first day travelling.

Today we went to the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Its hard to explain exactly, but think of all the glitz of vegas combined with the religous ambiance of vatican city and you got yourself a pretty cool wat (temple). Then we hoped on a water taxi, and when i say hop, i mean it literally, as one needed to leap from the moving dock to the moving boat in order to procure transportation. It was lots of fun though, and gave us an interesting picture of the city.

You think the driving in Boston is bad? think again.

Its warm, though not too warm, and we are tired. We just finished a great meal at tongue thai. terrific tasting thai treats. Haha. Well, because we are very very sleep deprived, and not making much sense, we will bid you sawat dii kawn, chok dii.

what the hay?
what the hay happened in long island? oh well- i get lost walking around in my neighborhood. did the flight feel super long or were you able to sleep? the first city you visited sounds beautiful - write lots in your travel journal, its super fun to read. stay safe and have fun- christine

What fun... Don't take the super cheap Tuk tuk for a 5 baht tour around the city from wat to wat. Its a scam and then they just try to getyou to buy a suit..or maybe you want a suit. It sounds like you kids are having agreat time. can't wait to hear about your adventures. Pierre gave me the address to your site. helen
