There are a few people I would like to introduce you to. People that make being here in Tanzania one of the most rewarding times of my life. The Brethren in Moshi, whom we dearly love.
We have found over the past year and a half that people all across the world, from various backgrounds, who intend on making a journey to Africa, for all different reasons, volunteer organizations, children's homes, Vacationing and going on one of our many Amazing Safari Trips here in the local area, even the families of our fellow Christian campaigners and visitors from the states, they all go in search of information of any kind, about the area they are going to be traveling to, so that they will have more information for their loved ones back home. We have recieved a large number of random emails by strangers, and by the friends & family of the people who are here due to the free access to this travel blog, via the world-wide internet.
SO, TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE PASSING BY:
I wanted to offer an open invitation to anyone traveling this way to come and join us for Bible Class and Emmanuel
Our Newest Brother in Christ, baptized today... a neighbor to Ramana and her Family Worship at the Kilimanjaro Church of Christ, sometime during your stay. Visitors are always a Joy and an Honor to have. Sunday Morning Bible Classes begin at 9:30AM and Worship at 10:30AM, Sunday Evening we gather together again at 4:00PM. Then on Wednesdays we have our mid-week Bible Class at 4:00PM as well. There is always an English Interpreter when the speakers are using Swahili, and vice versa: Translations into Swahili when the speaker is teaching in English. "KARIBU Wote" ~WELCOME ALL!
The church that meets in Moshi, Tanzania, is known as the Kilimanjaro Church of Christ. Built at the foothills of the amazing MT. Kilimanjaro, and within the city limits of the town called "Smoke" in Swahili, or (Moshi as we know it). We meet in the area of town known as Soweto. From the Highway, you would recognize the street you turn off on, as being near the Highway supermarket where all the buses and cabs wait for passengers and although our roads are not clearly marked, it is called Kabaita Road. The same area where the large clothing market is held each Tuesday and Friday. Just further down the road, and one block from the
Police Post there in Soweto.
The Church Address is: PO Box 7493, Moshi Tanzania. Christopher Mwakabanje, who lives just above the area were we worship, with his wife Julia and three young children are usually around the building area. The building is also used throughout the week for the Kilimanjaro Bible School. A Bible School, taught in Ki-Swahili, to admonish and built up the local congregation, but is open to any wanting to further their knowledge of God's World and gain a better understanding of the Scriptures. Christopher is the Director of the School there. Josephat Massawe, John Hall, Brent Richardson, & George Jensen all teach there off and on as well. Christopher's email address is: Kapalapala@yahoo.com
We also have our Missionary Team serving here together. There are two American Missionary families here and One single American Missionary working together with the local brethren. George & Joy Jensen and their 4 Children along with, John Hall work together with my husband and I, Brent & Julie Richardson and our three children.
Now on to.... Meeting the Sweet Kilimanjaro Brethren... These are faces that we all know and love dearly, and often times I think we
Christopher & Julia Mwakabanje
and their 3 children: Anthony, Anita, & CJ talk about them in our reports and stories and I know I would personally enjoying having a face to put with a name if I were on the other end.
I've been sitting and making a list of the Tanzanian families that meet with us here, and I've come up with a core group of about 27 Families, I know there are more, and forgive me if I leave one out unintentionally, if or when that I come across those I will add them here, and I will work towards getting pictures of them all in the coming weeks.

The ladies Out Visiting Each other...
Just leaving from a Bible Study at Teresia's House church have been visiting each other in our homes, holding Bible Studies together, encouraging and edifying one another through our friendships and growing closer and learning more about each other with each week that passes by. I think this is what helped me to see the need for you getting to know them better as well. It would be selfish of me not to share the lives of these amazing people with you. We rotate the teacher and the location with each visit and it is giving the ladies a great opportunity to learn to prepare a short lesson and they have the opportunity to teach in a small group setting. It is something that we have all come to love a great deal. The ladies are doing a tremendous job and it is so encouraging to listen to their thoughts and ideas, as they teach.
I hope you enjoy getting to know and see these wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ and their sweet families!
In His Service & Love, Julie
