Day 158 Gunnedah

A bit dull first thing but turned into a beautiful sunny day. Did a 70Km day trip to Tamworth where the music festival has just started the ten days it is on for. The long main street is blocked off and there are buskers along each side competing with each other in the noise stakes. They range from about four to 84. Had a general look around the area and then spent about 3 hours listening to the buskers. Very worthwhile and glad we went after thinking it may be all line dancing type music. Definitely was not.

Part of a huge complex which has a wax museum, souvenir shop, eateries, hotel etc.

Peel Street
The main city centre street which is closed for the festival. This was fairly early in the day. Was packed by the time we left.

This young fellow had an incredible sound on a variety of instruments.

There was an incredible variety of styles and types of music.

Yes, that is a live chicken on top.

Seniors
Pretty good for a bunch of oldies.

Shovel Guitar
Did not actually hear it being played.

Moo Inn
A pub along the way to Tamworth.

This is on my "things to do before I go" list...... go to Tamworth..... maybe even go to Moo Inn, as I like cows!! Viv
