We couldn't find a caravan site outside Canberra, so we camped in a National Park... our wild night out!
The Heart of the Nation, Canberra, does not seem to 'beat' as much as the old capital Sydney. We got the impression it is also not as popular either. But this new city has the Nation's Government and Parliament Buildings, Embassies and National museums and galleries. We visited the National Gallery of Australia, where they had modern Australian and European art, as well as many rooms of famous Indigenous Aboriginal art. Their culture continually fascinates us. The more we learn about them, the more we respect them. We walked briefly around the outskirts of Canberra, which is more alive than the centre (which is like a modern ghost city!). We didn't see much of it, but then again we weren't particularly interested to either.
