Cooking on the BeachCooking on the BeachCooking on the Beach

It looked goooooooooooood, but sadly we were to be struck too ill to indulge.
Hi All,
Rather than catching a jolting train or a non-sleeping bus for 12 hours, we managed to get a flight from Hoi An to Nha Trang. Luxury...

This is a 'beach bum' city of 315 200. We thought it might be a bit tacky but are pleasantly surprised. We were also worried that our US$12 hotel might be a bit rough, but it is just perfect - clean, bright, fresh air and close to cafes and the beach.

Health Report: TC's cold is gone. LV's bug is behaving pretty much (fingers crossed for no more relapses). Trace - must have been that chicken, cos we haven't eaten dog... that we are aware of!

We walked along the beach - less rubbish than other places - and we plan to eat some of the delicious-looking crustaceans (lobster, crabs, prawns...) being barbequed by the locals on the sand tomorrow.

We seem to be following Vivien and Alan, but not quite catching up to them.

Julia - we hope you are mending. Vince says you can still drink that promised champagne with one hand!

We can't put pics on here because the USB port doesn't work. Next
Nice Shot Nice Shot Nice Shot

It isn't even posed.
time - from Dalat.

We're off to le Petit Bistro for a French cheese board and glass of Bordeaux (we're still full from our delicious lunch).

Thanks everyone for your messages, but we'd like a lot more please. It's always nice to feel loved / missed...

Love to you all,
Us2

Howdy
Hi gals - not sure if 12 days up in Northlands Sandy Bay, 3 days Kinloch and next week Ohope rates the same as what you're doing - but it's a fantastic summer here! Sad day in NZ though, guess you've heard Sir Edmund Hillary died yesterday. Keep eating your way around the country - what a way to go! Jx
