Bathroom
Shower is in the top left, over the toliet....and the sink is on the right....theres only enough room for 1 person to stand in there Well, I made it! I am finally in Hong Kong. After a LONG 15.5 hour flight...I sat in the first row of economy which meant no seats in front of me....this sounds all good, except i had no room to stretch my legs out because there was a wall! BUT i did have the TV in front of me (there wernt TVs at every seat), but they didnt show anything good. I sat next to an old vietnamese couple...they kept switching seats and the old man kept elbowing me, so i had to use my pillow to block his arm when he was next to me....but i made it.
after getting off the plane i made my way to the airport....got on the tram that was to take me to the arrival and customs area but then it broke down, so i had to walk. i met a girl on the train (saw my sigma nu hat) - she is from hong kong but goes to school in california and has a lot of sigma nu friends...so we talked and walked through the airport together and she gave me a few tips, so that was nice.
after getting through
my room
there is a mirror and a little table on the wall at the left...and the bed and tv on the right....just enough standing room to stand and put my bag...and barley open the door! home sweet home. customs (only about 30 minutes) i found the bus stop outside the airport - bought a ticket for the bus and got on....the bus ride was about 50 minutes to my stop....as soon as i got off i had people trying to get me to go to their guesthouse/hostel....but i just ignored them and acted like i knew exactley where i was going, even though i had no clue...but it wasnt hard, i found the place pretty easy. they put me in a room for myself for tonight (since greg isnt coming till tomorrow) it is such a small room, but it doesnt really matter - its got a bed, a toliet, and shower...and thats all i care about!
so now i am here, at an internet cafe just down from the hostel....not down the street but down stairs....the ground floor of the Chung King Mansions has lots of little shops and stuff. so i didnt go far or really do anything tonight, but wanted to come update everyone and let you know i was here. i took a few pictures out on the street around....so here they are....lots more to come soon...sightseeing starts
outside
just the street standing outside the Chung King Mansions (where the hostel is inside, 3rd floor) tomorrow!!!
