Queenstown

After the hike, we needed time to recharge the batteries, so we mooched around and did not do any of the adrenaline junkie activities. In the evening we met some more Israelis, who believed us when we told them we learnt Hebrew in South American cook/lake tekopo. We drove to the imposing mt cook mountain, which people use to train for Everest, however we decided we did not need to do ay more mountain training. On the way to our evening acc, we stopped off at lake pukaki, which is the most beautiful colour blue. We stayed in the beautiful lake tekopo for the evening.

Christchurch

After driving most of the morning, we arrived in Christchurch early afternoon. As it was Friday night and the only chabad house in nz was in cc, we decided we had to go and Steve was craving meat. We went to check it out and when i asked them if they would have veggie food, they said no problem as there was no kosher meat in cc, so the meal would be veggie, I was happy, Steve was very disappointed. After chilling out in cc in the afternoon, we found some other Israelis in the hostel who were also going to chabad. As it is summer in nz, shabbas only comes in late, so we only started eating at 9.45pm, we were all starving. As their budget is not very high and nice veg is expensive in nz, it was amazing what u can do with a potatoes, salad, soup, main- fry, bake, steam. But needless to say we did not go hungry and they even had doughnuts

Akoara

We drove an hr an a half south to a pretty small town, to go swimming with dolphins. But by the time we got there, the wind was blowing, to say the least and the afternoon trip was cancelled. We were really disappointed, but rebooked for the following day. We spent the late afternoon catching up with people that we met on the Milford track.

CC/Akora/Kaikora

In the morning, we met a friend of mine that used to live in London, whom i had not seen for 6 years, it was great to see her and her husband. Then we headed off to swim with dolphins again. The weather was gorgeous; it was like a diff place. We saw loads of dolphins, they r hector dolphins, the smallest in the world, only 1.2 m, but they r really sweet when they swim around u, although u r not allowed to touch them. When i was swimming Steve took loads of amazing photos. We then did a long drive, 4 hrs to kaikora

Kaikora
The main attraction in this place is whale watching and dolphin swimming. As we can see whales in sa and we had swam with the dolphins, we decided not to do these things, so went to look at the local seal colony, which were actually really lazy animals. They r the also the only creatures known to man who respond to Stephens singing, by sticking there head up and looking at him.

Next stop aus, u will note this is a shorter blog, as requested by Ethel bowman.
