This is the journal of a girl who is far from home.

On a stick...So many things in China are served on a stick. Including this carmalized fruit. Note to self: Do not eat on a windy day. Bugs and hair are not meant to be eaten with fruit.
Ma Pao SpringsIt's said that the fighting horse of Guan Shen, the famous general of the North Song, neighed towards the sky and dug violently into the earth with his front hooves when Guan was murdered. The spring appeared and was named "Ma Pao Spring". It is one of the famous 72 springs in Jinan.
Yum!This is a common breakfast food... a sweet mixture of different kinds of rice and beans, wrapped in special leaves and served steaming or eaten cold.
RespectThis wall carving symbolizes the meeting of many famous figures in Chinese history at the Baotu Spring.
BrrrrrrCathy, Rach and I, teeth chattering and toes frozen!
Toque duoI poached Philip's toque again to stay warm and because he wouldn't stop singing ("Tell Laura I love her..."). And Jojo almost lost his keyboardists fingers to the cold last night.
Chilly!Audrey, Me (in charge of recording!), Sabrina and Rach.
