Hammock sleeping
Adam knocked out on our hammock Well unfortuantely we never got to Zip line today - we got to the site, paid and THEN they brought up a concern wiht the harnesses and Jay and would they fit him properly, so we pretty much wasted a day to find out they did not have the right harness for him and it would of been a risk for him to be in a suspension harness with not a lot of room for slipping.....we were pretty pissed since I had contacted the company "Canopy Titi" asked about any restrictions and was told since the cables are designed to hold 2000lbs we had no problem, what they failed to mention was if you are a size 38 waist or larger you shouldn't try go on the tour, so in the end what really was disapointing was the time it took to find all this out we blew the chance to do something different like ATV in the jungle or white water rafting - oh well. In the end I am not as upset as I initally was because Jay and I returned to the hotel and since we had to wait for Adam and Elena anyway, we hit the pool
Whole snapper
fresh snapper - yum yum and relaxed which was really what we needed, the trip has been pretty go go go recently the down time was good for us.
We did hit the shopping areas and got some amazing christmas gifts for poeple - since some of them are reading this blog I am not about to ruin the surprise but Jay has deemed that ever October we should travel somewhere new and buy native items for Christmas gifts - I say why the heck not - Jay is great at negotiating better deals for the items and we were smart in walking the whole area and then going back to the shop were we wanted the most items from.
I have to upload later the photos of our meals from last night, we went to this really neat reasturant that was built around an old war plane that crashed here 30 years go, the inside of the plane is the bar and then the restaurant is on two levels, so we were on the upper level and could see for miles into the ocean, the weather was cool and no bugs so it was a great dinner. Jay had the fresh whole
towel art
every day we had a new design this was pruse how neat snapper, I got the beef tenderloin fajitas and Elena and Adan tried some more local fish. All in all a good meal and the presentation was amazing.
I am not sure what we will do tonight, though I know Jay and Adam bought the local moonshine, limes and sugar to duplicate a drink they tried and like and I heard mention of a moonlight swim. So I am off to join them.
Tomorrrow we have been told there will be no power from 8am - 2pm - just as well that we are heading out of here, but before we say goodbye to Quepose we are visitng a vanilla farm, where you can tour the fields of pimento, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper etc and of course buy stuff to bring home! Yeah - then we drive for three hours to San Ramon where we will arrive at the Could Forest hotel of Villa Blanca. It will be interesting to witness the change of scenery and temperature though I have to say even with 100% humidty it has been really pleasant so far.
Talk to you guys tomorrow - hopefully we will have internet access up there to as
