Colosseum
Worth the wait to get inside to imagine 50,000 Romans giving the "thumbs down"! So, part of this trip is planning what to do and where to go NEXT, and sometimes that takes a bite out of where you are. Anyway, we knew we had a bunch of chores to do while in Rome, because AFRICA is fast approaching and we need shots, pills, paperwork, Canadian flags stiched into our clothes - you know - the usual.
That being said, Rome has been nothing short of super cool! Today we checked out Vatican City. KT is making sure she ends up in the right place when all is said and done! She was on her best behavior the whole day. Not that she has any other kind of behavior, but...
Our busiest day found us at the Piazza Nuova, where anciet naval "battles" were held, the Pantheon, which is still mystifying architects today, the Colosseum, still the face of Rome, and the Roman Forum, a great stroll through 2000 year-old ruins and holding the oldest street in Rome.
