Termine...Roma....

Rome has been the most face-paced city of our adventure to date. This has been good. Romans say "Wake up!" Chores had to be completed to enjoy the city: Vaccinations, malaria pills for Africa, copies of upcoming air-fares, Egyptian Embassy Visa (unfruitfull trip this was, Yoda said). The sights were amazing...The train station is a minor city. Don't lazily cross someone's path, they will flatten you. Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel...popular for a reason. St Peter's Basilca...Pope Benedict kissed KT on the forehead to no avail. Piazza Nuova, Pantheon, Colesseum and the Roman Forum. All AMAZING and fun to walk through at a comfortable pace. Great food...we discovered an incredible restaurant called AFRICA.

Worth the wait to get inside to imagine 50,000 Romans giving the "thumbs down"!
So, part of this trip is planning what to do and where to go NEXT, and sometimes that takes a bite out of where you are. Anyway, we knew we had a bunch of chores to do while in Rome, because AFRICA is fast approaching and we need shots, pills, paperwork, Canadian flags stiched into our clothes - you know - the usual.

That being said, Rome has been nothing short of super cool! Today we checked out Vatican City. KT is making sure she ends up in the right place when all is said and done! She was on her best behavior the whole day. Not that she has any other kind of behavior, but...

Our busiest day found us at the Piazza Nuova, where anciet naval "battles" were held, the Pantheon, which is still mystifying architects today, the Colosseum, still the face of Rome, and the Roman Forum, a great stroll through 2000 year-old ruins and holding the oldest street in Rome.

Karl read about the place in the guide book, and would not give up until we walked through every crevice in Rome to find.
