Well, we are back in Ecualand. It was wonderful to see most of our family and friends back home. For those of you who we didn't see, I am sorry that our time was limited - we certainly did not intend to exclude anyone.
For those of you following my weight battle, you'll be happy to know that when I stepped on to the scale at the Peace Corps office, I was back over 160lbs. I gained 7lbs while home. I can attribute the weight gain to not walking or exercising, drinking beer everyday, and eating chips, crackers, cheese, and cookies daily. What this most likely means is that this weight will slip off slowly as I return back to my Ecualife.
It was certainly harder to leave the States this time around. We discovered while away, just how much we missed everyone. However, you all make it easy for us by being so supportive and encouraging. We are lucky to have a great group of friends and incredible family.
Susan headed back to Puyo this morning, while I get to remain here at a monitoring and evaluation workshop put on by the PC national office. My big decision will be to decide whether to stay in Quito Thursday night so I can watch game 1 of the Indians vs. Yankees series or to go back to Puyo and discover the fate of the Tribe on Friday morning.
We now have our working laptop with us and will be able to make SKYPE calls on a more regular basis. If any of you want to chat with us on SKYPE, set up a time and we'll chat. Our username is scienceking.

We'll root the Indians on for you! Neal just told me his brother's going to the game -so cool! Sorry I missed your jaunt home. Mrs. B let me know you were in town and I meant to ask her when you would be swinging by the school, but I got a little tied up. The wedding's this weekend, so we've been keeping busy!
