Monchof
The station house So I'm going to start from the very beginning, it's a very good place to start.
After leaving Ibiza, I went from one airport to another to catch another plane to Vienna.
I was picked up from the airport from my friend, Sonia (from work at home). We were staying in a gorgeous little town called Monchof, where my friend and I were really the only ones who could speak English, luckily Sonia could translate for me.
We went for a bike ride and people were stopping and staring at us, we were definately not locals! We had some schnitzel, but not with noodles.
We headed into Vienna for a day of sightseeing, Sonia was my tour guide.
Then I was off to Salzburg and more importantly The Sound of Music tour!
As we headed off on the tour - What will this day be like? I wondered.
I was so excited, I felt as though I was sixteen going on seventeen!
We headed up into the lakes district where we saw many different sights from the movie. Apparently the movie is famous in all but two countries - Austria and Germany!

A clothes shop as Christopher Plummer announced that he would not carry that fat little kid (Gretle) over the montains! They had to get a double and fatten her up with a body suit!
When we were driving along high on a hill I heard a lonely goat....Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo.
We stopped for a break and we given a tip to have the yummiest crisp apple streudels that I have ever had - certainly no Sara Lee!
I had such a great time that I had to think that somewhere in my youth or childhood I must have done something good.
So, I'll sing once more.
