Once back on the more normal tourist trail, we spent a couple of days eating in Olomouc and then the better part of a week eating, sleeping, and drinking in Prague. We tried to offset the aforementioned activities by high intensity sightseeing activities (climbing church towers and the like). Unfortunately the beautiful narrow, disorienting Old Town streets of the two cities cleverly hide a plethora of cool little bars & restaurants, and it was difficult to build up enough momentum between stops to burn off the previous meal.
It was probably Asia & my last week together before we fly to NZ in December, and while we did stuff like think about going to concerts, museums, and exhibitions - mostly we just relaxed. There’s plenty of Prague photos on my old blog, all the ones here are from Olomouc which is just as pretty in many ways… only smaller.
Right now I’m on a 12h train journey through Germany (my first proper Euro € country) to Zurich, Asia’s just finished her 8hr bus ride back to Wroclaw. Hopefully my work visas are all in order and I can re-enter the working world on Monday. By all accounts accommodation in
the city is sparse - I’ll buy a dozen German beers for anyone who can find me a decent flat in the next week!!

My hometown
Weird... I live in Olomouc for 20 years, I love Prachett's books and I've never realized that we've got The Discworld right around a corner :D I was looking for some pics of DW on the internet and I found my hometown... Really weird, isn't it? :D
