...without a snappy title...

...is no itinerary at all I suppose. Anyway, a couple of people have asked that I publish our full itinerary so here goes something:

That should give you a rough idea where we'll be, when we'll be there. It's not the complete comprehensive day by day gig, since there's a fair bit of flexibility built into this. Basically, once we arrive in Rome, anything goes provided we're in Barcelona on the 30th of December to fly to London! Having said that, if we don't do it pretty much as it is there, I'll be really surprised.

Expected highlights at this stage include pretty much everything. 😊 We will be travelling in the Middle East during Ramadan, which should make for an interesting experience. What I've read suggests that things are a little dull during the day, but once the sun goes down the mood picks up in a really new and interesting way! I'm looking forward to seeing and going to places that have, until now, really been something of a mystery - Petra, Bran Castle, Kutna Hora, the Normandy beaches - y'know, places I've heard of, but have no real idea what to expect.

Anyway, there'll be a bit more from me later in the week, photos from Scotland and that sort of thing. In the meantime you can ponder this slightly manic holiday. Oh, whatever problems Travelblog was having a couple of weeks back appear to have been corrected so I've put the photos up for my last posting as well.

Six more days to go, six more days till Santa!
Al.

Spain
Just caught up on your postings... Hope you're having a ball. We just got back from our jaunt to Spain / Portugal / Italy / Munich (Oktoberfest!) and if I can give you one bit of advice it is much less time in Madrid and much more time in Barcelona. Such a great city! You'll need a day just to admire the randomness that is Gaudi...
