well its currently 6pm in Madrid and little chris arrived today, after much mucking about we finally met up. But back to Camdon markets for a wee bit:
They were the most visually stimulating place to be, everywhere you looked there was something out of the norm, its set in the heart of old school punk rocker town, and the punk scene is still huge there, as is the gothic/vampire type look people had their everybrows shaved and tattooed in stead, and not just one or two every now & then, we are talking of hundreds of people who dress like this everyday. The markets would´ve of been 5 times the size of Paddy´s markets in sydney, stu & i were there for 6.5 hours and we still didn´t see everything!!! there was a huge section which we missed, what we did see was loads of retro sections & there was a Huge rave store, with everything that glows under fluro lights, rows & rows of clothes & accessories. There was a cool little store that for 30 euro i could get a hoodie in grey, black, baby blue or pink custom made with you choosing the colours with a
Breakfast
This is salmon wiuth brie and smoked ham with brie word tagged, a cartoon image, or block graffitti style, if i get time & money i would like to go back & get one. Adam Cryer, Travis, Luke, Nick, Chris Brand, Nige, Cameron C, Doyle, would´ve particularly liked those markets, i reckon mewitt would´ve also. But no phots are allowed in that are for copyright purposes.
Drinks was fun with the birthday we went to saturday night, Big thanks to Stu for everything, he was so hospitable and he showed me the sights of london, people don´t usually see in 2 days!
I arrived Sunday afternoon, for the 1st night i was in a room with all girls, the second night some girls left & some guys arrived, everyone is really friendly & helpful & fun. The sun doesn´t set here until 9:30 at night, and doesn´t warm up until approx 111:30, well its warm, bu its not hot until then, so lunch is about 3pm, dinner about 10pm
yesterday i hung out with this cool dude called Cameron, whose Scottish, we went to Parque Del Buen Retiro, which are big public gardens & paddled around in a lake next to some statues the gardens were beautiful,
then we sat by the lake, eating lunch & drinking a bottle of red. Sangria by the way is so easy to drink, its very light, served chilled, with fruit in the bottom of it (if its the good stuff) fruit that has been soaking it up for a good few days, thank goodness cameron knew a fair bit of spanish it really helped us get around.
Then Chris came todya, and we had grilled prawns, and spanish paella with seafood & chicken, paella is a type of rice then walked around & saw the sights of Sol & Opera and got icecream, & then the next adventure begins!
by the way if you add a comment it will go through i just have to accept it, so people don´t spam the website. Also in the morning i will add pictures, but i can´t do it from the hostel
