Hello peeps....

The time has finally come..... I am about to depart on the trip of a lifetime.... I am sitting writing this, the night before 'THE OFF' with very mixed emotions. How exciting, yet quite scary. The thought of setting off into the big wide world is a little daunting especially as I am starting somewhere where it will be very difficult to make myself understood plus I wont be able to recognise any signs :-) so I have set about putting pictures on my iPod of all the essentials: a toilet, food, drinks, taxi, station etc etc! Very funny!

I know you all want to know where I am going and when so I thought it would be a good idea to enlighten you all on 'The Plan'. It's all still fairly flexible and subject to change but I can let you all know as I go along ;-)

16th August - London to Beijing
24th August - Beijing to Tokyo
31st August - Tokyo to Hong Kong
4th September - Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh

From the 4th September - mid November, I will be travelling around Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. Finally, arriving in Singapore to catch a plane onto Australia on or around the 8th November.

I then have about 2 months in Australia, followed by a couple of weeks in New Zealand. I will be meeting up with the lovely Kirsty on Oz and then go onto Brazil in time for Carnival - Samba, Samba at the end of January 2008 where I intend to meet great mates Han & Jess.... the more the merrier I say!

From there, we will travel around most of the South American countries for about 4 months and work our way round and up into Mexico. I will then finish by having a bit of time in the USA....initially just visiting some of the main places along the West/ East coast and some things in the middle... hehe!

I do hope that has given you a good outline and idea of where I will be heading. All I ask is that you bear it in mind and try and get out to see me at some point.... how cool would that be!

Take great care, keep in touch and LOADS OF LOVE XXXXXX

Go on, girl. Rock the world!!!
Hello, lovely. I am so happy for you that you are doing this. And I fully understand the mixed emotions that you are having. When I went to Cuba and Mexico 2 years ago (and that was only for 2.5 months) the same thing happened to me. But don't worry. I'm sure it'll pass as soon as you enter the "new worl" you are about to experience. I had a smile face wide for the entire duration of my trip, even for a few onths after I returned. So, just be yourself, enjoy the experience, learn loads and be happy. Wish you all the best. Keep me posted, I might just be able to join you somewhere, sometime (I'm thinking the US, seing as I'm still thinking of studying there). Loads and loads of luv :) M
