I know I said I was retired from blogging but I had to do one last post as a ode to everything I love and miss about Morocco. I am also happy to announce that thanks to Google's cache of webpages I have been able to find and republish my lost blogs.

Early in the morning when the sun is rising the angle of the sunrays highlight the night's tracks, giving away where mice have burried themselves to hide from the daytime sun.

The sea wall is historic and complete with cannons. The town is calm and the people friendly. The beach is beautiful and the wind is a welcome relief in the summer.

I miss the twisting little alleys in the medina. Calm residential streets lead off of the busy market areas.

The monkeys at Ozoud were a little too used to people but still counted as wildlife in my book.

I loved visiting Volunteers like Cybele who lived in more rural areas than I did. This village is about an hour east of Marrakech.

This patio/roof was used for drying wheat and laundry but also doubled as my garden and yard.

Morocco is beautiful but what I loved most were the Moroccans who welcomed me with open arms and incredible hospitality.

Maryam's daughter and mother taught me more about life in Morocco than I had expected to learn. It's all about family.
