Mykanos party island and tourist money grab

Ohhhhh, what an island.
It is a huge party place. Paradise beach has music going all day while people dance and drink on the beach. Super paradise beach is similar, but with more gay predominant crowd. To say the least, we did not stay there long.
All the hotels are super expensive, as well as the drinks and cover charges at the night clubs.

I did manage to catch Pete Tong perform live at Cavo Paradiso. That was worth the 35 euro cover charge.

On Saturday night we went to Space club for some dancing and girl hunting.
At the end of the night I was approached by 8 doorman and a screaming bartender. She claimed that I did not pay for 2 full bottles of alcohol. As I denied the charge, more and more stuff was added to the bill. At the end I was forced to pay a fake bill of 280 Euros. It is a tourist scam and I heard about it. I could not do anything but pay. I am glad that nobody got hurt. I went to the police the next morning to report the scam, and was told that I probably did drink all that and just don't even remember it. They refused to take my report. Obviously they are on it as well. This even put a big damper on my travel through Greece, and Mykanos island in particular.

Sucks about the fake bill but totally typical in tourist destinations. I love the name Ramrod for the gay club name. Jeesh! LOL.
