ROCKS!ROCKS!ROCKS!

Yes, these smiles were forced, and the scenery was the same for two days, but it was still pretty...for a while.
Ok, first off, I like boats. But I DO NOT want to sleep on one unless its a cruise ship. But they have to be air-conditioned. The name of our boat was the "Imperial Junk." Sounds like an oxymoron. Anyway, we climbed aboard, found out that they didn't turn on the AC until 7 that night, and ate. After that we tried to enjoy the scenery. But after the mountains, the heat was doubly intense. There was a breeze, but it was a fickle one. I mean, the scenery was pretty, but after about an hour, it all looks the same. Just huge rocks with a few bushes on them. One had a cool shape- a frog. But after that you just tried to fan yourself without using too much energy. It was a bit better when the sun went down. We had dinner and went to the top of the boat. It's a tourist area, so a bunch of other boats were there too. They had their lights on and since it was dark, it looked like a little city. Plus the stars were out. We collapsed on the chairs and tried to find a few constellations. That was
There are REAL monkeys here! There are REAL monkeys here! There are REAL monkeys here!

They were pretty friendly. Didn't attack us or anything. Too bad we didn't have a banana on hand
relaxing. But when we went to our rooms, we found out that one of our four rooms had a broken AC. So we had to double up a bit. And the beds were hard. And the water wasn't constant. Oh and you know how they woke us up? They turned off the AC at 6:30 in the morning. The rest of the day was a bit better, except for Phi, my little brother. I think he got sea sick or caught some stomach virus. Not good. It took a couple days for it to pass. Poor guy. Anyway, we went to a little beach and swam around for a bit. Then kayaking. That was fun, but my arms weren't up to it. So we went around a bit and turned back. (I'm a little paranoid about kayaking. I'm afraid some freak current will carry us away.) Then we went to Monkey Island. They had real coconuts. They're a lot bigger than I thought they were, and they're not naturally really sweet. But still refreshing. Plus, we saw actual monkeys! They're not vicious or anything. Too bad we didn't have any bananas! The hotel we stayed in this time definitely better.
We've gone COCONUTS!We've gone COCONUTS!We've gone COCONUTS!

OK, I look horrible but the coconut was good...didn't know they looked like that...
We walked in and said "Wow! There's an ELEVATOR!" (VN's the only place you'd make a big deal out of it.) But the water from the shower tasted like saltwater. At first I thought it was from the sweat from my face but after 5 minutes...Not exactly refreshing.
