4. 9-15th July. Beach, beach and......... beach!!

We moved to Haadrin Bungalows this in the morning and were delighted to saee that we had some storage units to put things on!! It just about rained all day so we sat on the balcony playing cards blessed with an awesome view of the mountains. After the internet we watched friends and drank beer to make it feel a bit more manly!! We moved on to the Cactus bar which is situated on the beach front. They has a fire show on the beach to entertain people as they were getting drunk! We met up with Isi and partied the night away. The gentleman that i am i walked a girl called Vicky home since she lived about 15mins away. Nothing happened if thats what your thinking!! When i dropped her off and was walking home i realised that i was completely lost and i did not get back till 6am!! Luckily i found some people to give me directions!!!! Being a gentleman does not pay off!!!!

Woke up to a sunny day and got to the beach for midday. Every now and again i wish i was here with a girlfriend but then when i hear matt having a hissy fit over the sand i realise that i have got the next best thing!!! His foot is still hurting from his drunken mishap of falling over so he is trying to keep his foot dry which should allow it to heal quicker so bat and ball has taken a back seat for the time being. Left the beach early to eat lunch and watch friends. You will notice that watching friends was a regular thing here at this destination!! After friends we watched blades of glory at another bar. The bars and restaraunts all show films up untill about 11pm. All brand new ones aswell!! Being hardcore we went for a nap but then watched die hard 4 before going to the Caxctus bar again. Very good film by the way!! Had a fun night at the Cactus bar and did not get back again till about 6am!!

Got to the beach by midday again today which is some going. By now we have realised that people come to this resort for the nightlife since the beautful beach is quite during the considering the amount of young people you see out at night time. Matt being obsessed with his tan he drags me to the beach and being a good friend i dont complain!!! The really weird thing about the weather here is that it can completely change within 2 mins and so it did!! The rain came so we took the opportunity to update our photos onto the blogs. Which took about 3 hours overall!!! Come night time we watched friends, had dinner, watched oceans 13 and then the Cactus bar. One of the girls there was so drunk she was fallling all over the place. I think at one point she hurt her boob because her female friend lifted up her top and sucked her nipple on the dancefloor to my mine and matts disgust. We thought about complaining but decided to try and encourage it instead!!!ha There were party games as well being played on the beach and one of them was arm wrestling. A bloke wearing the tightest top in the world(even tighter than some of matts tops!!) was strutting about waiting for his turn. Doing various stretches as well.....it was one of them things that was embarrasing to watch but you had to. It came to his turn and matt and i so wanted him to loose.......and he did which was hilarious as he walked of complaining with his girlfriend!!

Got to the beach by 1pm today and was realising that we were getting to much into a routine. So we decided to try and go somewhere else on the island. We enquired about Thong Nai Pan but it was 1500b to get there by boat which was to much money to warrent going there for a few days. Feeling guilty about all the alcohol we had consumed over the past few days we done some weights today using water bottles and plastic bags!! Done the trick!!We played cards,had dinner and then.........yep matt was sick!!!! We got back to the hotel room before he was though which was good!! Managed to head back out but to watch a film and then to head back for an early one. Watched a film called Alpha Dog with Justin Timberlake in it. Very good!! A white mans version of boys in the hood. If you get the chance watch it!!

Went for a really healthy breakfast this morning of bannana and porridge which was a good choice because bat and ball was back on baby!!! Had to play on dry land so got nowhere near our 214 score. For those who are wandering "what difference does that make" well then i shall tell you. Its down purely to the reason of gravity and a hard surface! Its easier to make rescue shots in water!! I am beginning to think this should ba an olympic sport!! Met up with Isi at the Cactus bar come the night time and bumped into two new friends called Eve and Josh. Eve was from Liverpool and Josh was from California. We moved over to another bar on the beach called the Drop In Bar. I was standing up drinking, talking and minding my own business when a very drunk looking ladyboy came stumbling up to me.........safe to say i wasnt interested...i wanted to be left alone.....i wanted no hastle!!! But no........he/she strated to grab my bum......even started to slap it. I was protesting to the point of almost pushing he/she away when she started to hump my leg when yep.......i felt that he/shes jeams were wet so naturally i thought she had wet herself so at that point i did push it of!!! About a minute later i thought it was a bit strange and checked my pocket and yep........it stole my phone!!!!! I spent the next hour looking for it with no luck. I even went round the local girls on the beach telling them that i dont want the phone and that all i want is the memory card which i would even pay for. None of the girls would help and i knew that some of them knew something which was the most annoying thing about it!! But talking to other travellers i am definately not the only one to have something stolen!! Anyway, after that i partied on for a bit but then headed back for about 2am. Not in the best of moods i have to admit!!

Had an awesome day at the beach today. Nothing but blus sky for as far as the eye can see!! I decided not to give the phone thing a second thought!! I got asked to play beach football so i thought yeah......sounds fun......what harm can that come to? There was myself and three dutch lads on one team against 2 spanish and two blokes from chile. To cut a long story short we won but with a price!! One of the spanish lads came crashing down on my right ankle with my foot swelling up as if it was mirror image of the football itself!!
It was the night of the Black Moon Party so Ise, Eve Josh, Matt and I met up at the Same Same bar where we were going to get a taxi from. The bar is owned by a couple from Norway so there was alot of scandanavians there!! There was live music playing rock and let me just say that the scandanavians go mad for their rock!!! It was well funny and some of the girls.....oh my god!!!!! We got to the Black moon party where i recon i got offered drugs about ten times within the first 5 mins!! I drunk enough alcohol though to take the pain away from my foot and we partied in the sand.......yes...very sensible of me?!! Met up with some of the Dutch lads from the football which was good. We lost Isi and spent an hour looking for him. There were tonnes of thai girls about so Matt and I spent every two steps telling a different thai girl that we were gay or had girlfriends!! You cant imagine how annoying this gets. Once again i know this sounds good to any bloke reading this but it really isnt!! We found Isi eventually and luckily he was ok. He was with some girl so fair play!!

So yeah..............my foot looks like i have got elephants man syndrom!!Spent the day on the beach elavating my foot!! Chilled out at the Cactus bar come night time with Matt and Isi and met a bloke called Eddie. This is where Isi admitted to us that when he got dropped of by the taxi last night for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to go back to the party since he could not go to sleep. The party was a good 25mins away by car! The taxi driver dropped him off in the middle of nowhere in the jungle where he spent the next hour looking for someone to find directions!! But he is alive and well so its all good!! Anyway this Eddie we have met seems to be going the same route as us and will be in oz at the same time. He is thinking about going to fiji as well for the new year so there is a good chance we shall meet up again. I told him that after Matt and Amy go back in January that i have no plans and he seems to be in the same situation.
Matt and I stayed of the drinks tonight and said goodbye to our friends on this island. Once again swapping details with everyone we meet so we can stay in contact. We were sorry to say goodbye to the people but we are both pleased to be leaving this island. As you can probably tell every day seemed to be to similar with very few new experiences so looking forward to doing some proper hardcore packpacking. All the funny and strange situations seems to occur while your on the move so bring it on baby!!! Cant wait!!!!

I am so glad that a resposible adult (Amy) left last night to look after you two boys!!! She may also block the advances you two seem to be getting from all sorts!! Mind you from mine and Dad's experiences even Amy being there will not stop that!!! Hope your ankle heals soon as I am expectantly waiting to hear your new record of bat and ball. Mum
