Paradise Island

The plan:

Halong city via mini bus, halong bay via boat and on to paradise island an enchanted and magical place owned by ocean tours.

The mini bus trip was great! Our Guide or as i would like to call our leader, Duc was a legend the nicest bloke ive ever met. The driver Hom was of more chinese orientation and looked well hard.

Hom came to hand at the greatest moment of all and the most novelty moment when we broke down and he changed the wheel single handed.. Hom is also a legend for spotting the leaking tyre about 0.001 seconds after it started leaking.
Hom was also a pro behind the wheel - grandmaster overtaker / generally drives on the wrong side.

Once on the boat we headed out towards the islands.. or islandssssssssssssssss i should say .. there were thousands.. NUTS... and ours was right on the edge.. Mentle!
The boat took us to some caves and DUC showed us around, they were called the amazing caves or the suprising caves.. mainly because they were amazing and suprising.. Duc was well into them, they had a religous connection which we didnt get so they were just generally 'cool'.

We left Ducs boat after he wished us Good health and happiness - legend - and then went onto Teins boat.... another really nice bloke... theres loads of them.

When i was on the boat i sat down with some of the crew and had some shell fish and shots of what i can only describe as 'chemicals' the strongest alcohol ive ever had in my life.. but then it was 11am so i spose its ok.

You have never seen someone change into their shorts as fast as i did when i found out we could jump of the boat when we got near the island... the problem was when i had changed i was told it was too dangerous... arhhhhh!

Anyways.. enough of the boring stuff..

Paradise Island, where dreams come true, where you can get sunburnt, eat loads of seafood and beef, do massive swan dives off steps into the unknown, circumnavigate the island in a dodgy canoe with the one other guy on the island that was Hardcore enough to do it with you.
You can also capsise your canoe and loose the really old and misterious looking bit of carved wood that was probably worth millions
6 huts .. right on the beach... one restaurant. 20 people in total, whisky, pool table, guitar, fire, beach, sand, swim, dive, - This is PARADISE ISLAND! - and i am well into it!

yo dawgs.. whats on in plym town Were in cambodia now, with the new guitars.. mentle.. bit of a mission carrying them around but o well.. gonna send em home then buy two really really cheap ones.. Threres lots of internet cafes about but its so slow, so still havent got many pics up yet.. only a few hong kong ones... hopefull will be able to get up to date when i hit thailand.. About to enquire online about scuba diving there.. defo mentle.. party on!
