Well I have now arrived in Warsaw after a rather uneventful train ride.. The only thing of interest was that Polish trains dont have ANYWHERE and I mean ANYWHERE to put your luggage, no corridors it cane be left it, your only option is the overhead racks or the doorway.. I was going to unhappily leave mine in the doorway but the lady who got on the train just before and who was in the same position I was kept shaking her head, dont do that.. So we both moved our luggage to the corridor right outside the little seating area.. You know how in movies where you see trains in Europe (ie EuroTrip) and they're those little seater things with 6seats and its in a box.. thats what this was and it turned out we were in the same one of them.. An elderly gentlemen who would have easily been in his sixties decided to put both of our big suitcases on the overhead compartments! Now mine would weigh a good 35kgs atm, no exactly easy to get up (and even harder to get down), but up it went...Was again offered accomodation where I got off the train, maybe because I was looking lost but this was only because I couldnt figure out how to get the hell out of the station! Once again caught a taxi down the road, had had huge troubles trying to book my seats to Frankfurt on Monday so could not be bothered walking 20mins down the road.. Only cost me like AUD$3, dont think the driver was too impressed...

Awoke on Friday morning to the phone ringing, "AH miss you had a city tour booked today?" Ah shit, I knew I had it booked but there were no dates on my itinarary so I thought that I had to ring up to confirm what day I would be travelling.. Obviously not, so anyway this was pushed back to Saturday.. Spent Friday wandering around eventually making my way to the Old Town.. Once I got outside I realised why I didnt want to get out of bed this morning, it was pissing down and cold!! ARGH IM BACK IN MARCH IN LONDON! ok maybe not that cold, but definately miserable, was hoping for some sun in my last two weeks so I would be comng back brown! Which I still am and bring on Singapore!

Everywhere you walk in Warsaw, there are men walking around with newly bought flowers.. Where are my flowers??! Lots of lucky girls here in Warsaw that have their men bringing them flowers (And I would guess lots of lucky men as a result hehe)

Something to be remembered in Poland is that the toilets here are hard to distinguish between men and women.. Theres no little person on the door, instead a circle for women and a triangle for men.. every important that you get this right! haha..

Old Town here in Warsaw is not as impressive as those that I saw in Krakow and Prague, however all of Warsaw was destroyed during World War 2 so what you see has been carefully reconstucted and rebuilt after the war.. Sunday however the sun finally decided to come out and with it, the Old Town came to life, I dont know if this was because the weather was finally nice or the sun was finally out but it was definately more how I expected it to be,...

Also on Sunday, I visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum and the Pawiak Museum, the uprising museum showed the history of the underground polish parties during world war 2 who were secretly fighting the Nazis and the Pawiak Museum was an old prison used for Jewish people during this same phase in history and is where many Jews were held before they were shipped off to concentration camps..

Home next week! cant believe its come around so soon!
